For Balenciaga's 2023 Summer collection, Demna took inspiration from places outside of high fashion, stating that he found luxury being reduced to being "polished, exclusive, and visually expensive" as limiting. As a result, the collection was filled with a delightful mixture of rural and everyday details which, as can be seen in these oversized buckle earrings, were utilised for avant-garde finishing touches.
