It's a pleasure to see Balmain using its imagination. It does this every season, of course, but dresses like this one prove there's no limit to its creativity. Fringing to its hems feels evocative of 1920s flapper girls while tweed fabric nods to more rural origins. Gold-tone chains add even further detail and yet, the finished product feels totally cohesive.
