There came a day at the turn of the 20th century when John Barbour looked at his hometown of South Shields in the North East of England and decided that the North Sea had battered its inhabitants unchallenged for too long. Hence, his eponymous outerwear brand was founded, and the nation has been gifted with its iconic waxed jackets - such as the Beaufort iteration, now presented in a miniature iteration for Barbour Kids.
