Named for the region of Kashmir, the home of the Hircus goat from which the material was produced, cashmere is adored for its softness. Before being used by Brunello Cucinelli to create this cardigan, the material was originally used as a defence against the harsh climate by shepherds in Central Asia. Today, we frequently see it used in luxury garments in recognition of its superior texture and temperature regulation.
