In 1904, Louis Cartier granted the wish of Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont by creating one of the world's first ever wristwatches, allowing him to tell the time while commanding an aircraft. Over a century later, Cartier's Santos style has been reimagined for the modern man; this steel model has been coated with adlc- a diamond-like carbon that's both scratch resistant and fingerprint-proof. Suspended Roman numerals sit atop the mechanical calibre, with the absence of a dial giving the wearer a glimpse into the core of the watch: cogs and all.
