Inspired by 19th-century botanical drawings, the Volière collection from Ginori 1735 skilfully depicts lifelike illustrations of various species of birds across its porcelain pieces. Here, a pitta bird, or 'la brève', adorns this fruit plate, bordered with a golden garland of flowers and leaves. Glazed using a special firing process, the hand-finished piece is as much an object to have proudly on display as it is destined to be part of your next intimate dinner party setting.
