This green painted plate by Homata is an example of the antique pottery technique used in Sejnane, a village in the north of Tunisia. Added to the UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2018, Sejnane pottery making is a skill passed down from mother to daughter, using the local clay, and decorations are inspired by the Berber tattoos and weaving patterns. *The plate is not fully waterproof or food safe, but can be used for display and dry goods.
