The duster jacket dates back as far as the 18th century, when cowboys would wear them to protect their clothes as they rode horseback, but it wasn't until the Twenties that it shrugged off its humble origins and became the style we know and love today. The Maia coat from Weekend Max Mara, however, owes much to Sixties iterations given its round neck and A-line silhouette.
